Deuteranopia World is my solution to the RGB brief, which challenges designers to explore the potential of colour in their work. The brief calls for a final output that uses a single shade of colour. With Deuteranopia, I aim to raise awareness of colour blindness through an interactive game and website that simulates the condition and provides essential information. With 1 in 8 men experiencing some form of colour blindness, it remains crucial to shed light on the daily struggles and challenges they face in navigating the world with this condition.
The result is an immersive gaming experience that offers players a unique perspective on daily tasks through the eyes of someone with Deuteranopia. It's worth noting that those with Deuteranopia can still perceive the colour blue, but deliberately leaving it out of the game adds an extra layer of difficulty and aligns with the project's design parameters.
